The Northshore Traditional Music Society is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) charitable organization that promotes traditional music through education, inspiring performances, and opportunities for professional and amateur musicians to make music together in non-commercial settings. Our hope is that through these efforts, music-making will be more broadly accessible and the social fabric of our community will be strengthened.
OUR GOALS
It is our conviction that music making is a great treasure and gift that should be enjoyed by as many as possible and we want to give our community more opportunities to do so. Our objectives are: (1) to ignite the hearts and inspire the imaginations of would-be musicians through musical concerts; (2) to facilitate and support musicians who gather and make music together by hosting sessions and jams in the community; and (3) to edify and educate music makers and lovers in our community who wish to grow in their musical skill and appreciation.
OUR SLOGAN
“Music of the people, by the people, for the people '' is our slogan that encapsulates the vision to see music-making democratized (that is “made accessible to everyone”) in the Northshore region. We believe this will strengthen our community and we invite you to join us in this endeavor.
