MEET OUR MUSICIANS
Annie Young-Bridges, born in Oakland, California, moved to Spartanburg, South Carolina at age 11 where she began violin and orchestra and her studies with Dean Angeles who encouraged her to make a career in music. Annie enjoys a long career of strings teaching and performing in regional symphonies, opera orchestras and chamber ensembles throughout the South. She is a full-time strings teacher in the St. Tammany Parish School District, and continues to work as a freelance violinist, private violin teacher, registered yoga teacher, and a Celtic/folk musician. She is the founder /director of the NorthShore Strings, a member of the Cashmere String Quartet, the Abita Lo Amps band, and happily joined the NOCS in January, 2019.

Ben Redwine is the Jazz Coordinator for the Northshore Traditional Music Society and leads the Jazz Jams on the first Saturday of every month from 9:00AM to 11:00 AM. In addition, he serves on the St Tammany Parish Commission on Cultural Affairs. Ben performs frequently with the LPO, and performs jazz extensively in the New Orleans region and internationally. He retired from the US Naval Academy Band in 2014 and relocated to Louisiana to be near the birthplace of jazz. You can learn more than you’ll ever want to know about Ben at www.redwinejazz.com.
Madeline Hill, a violinist and music educator in Covington, Louisiana, combines classical training with a love for traditional music. She holds a Bachelor of Music from Loyola University New Orleans and a Master’s in Ethnomusicology from the University of Limerick, Irish World Academy of Music and Dance. Since 2017, she has run Madeline Hill’s Music Studio, LLC, teaching violin and piano to students of all ages. A member of the Northshore Traditional Music Society, she leads monthly Irish sessions and co-organizes the Northshore Strings Fiddle Camp with Annie Young-Bridges. Madeline performs with the Boston St. Céilí Band and the Spring Chickens Bluegrass Band, and as a soloist for local events, specializing in Irish, classical, bluegrass, and pop styles.
