Celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month with an evening of local jazz music featuring the outstanding talents of Leroy Jones, David Mahoney, Richard Moten, Ben Redwine, and Don Vappie.
The concert, presented by The Northshore Traditional Music Society and made possible in part by a grant from the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation, Inc., will take place 2 - 4 p.m., Sunday, April 21, 2024 at The Fuhrmann Auditorium located at 317 N. Jefferson Avenue, in downtown Covington.
Join us for a pre-concert lecture at 1 p.m. by author Caroline Vezina, discussing her recent book entitled Jazz A La Creole (https://jazzalacreole.com). All ticket holders are welcome to attend this lecture. Lecture will be immediately followed by the NSTMS Jazz Jam, led by Jim Raymond in the lobby of the Fuhrmann, introducing the featured concert.
